🩰 Studio Rules, Guidelines & Protocols

Registration & Enrollment

  • All students must complete the Pre-Registration/Registration Form and receive an email confirmation with their class schedule.

  • Registration is only complete once the Registration Fee, Tuition, and any outstanding balances have been paid in full.

🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Arrive 5–10 minutes before class starts and ends.

  • Please drive slowly in the parking lot for everyone’s safety.

Drop-Off:

  • Students enter through the main entrance.

Pick-Up:

  • Parents wait in or by your parked car.

  • Staff will escort our youngest dancers out through the side exit door (located on the left side of the building).

🎒 Attire and Accessories

  • Please make every effort to have the proper attire within four weeks of the start of classes.

  • Dancers must have a designated bag for dance shoes, a water bottle, a phone, and personal items.

  • Dance shoes must not be worn outside the studio.

🚻 Bathroom Policy (Young Dancers)

  • Preschool and Primary Dance (A–D) students will be escorted to the bathroom by a staff member.

  • Students must be able to use the bathroom independently.

  • Staff may assist only with adjusting dance attire if needed.

🚫 Lobby Access (Oct 1 – June 27)

  • The lobby is closed to:

    • Parents/Guardians

    • Non-enrolled siblings

    • Observers

  • Occasional class observation may be allowed.

  • Please do not remain in the lobby during class transitions.

🕰 Waiting Areas

  • The Locker Room and Homework Room will be available for students who are:

    • Attending multiple classes

    • Waiting between sessions.

🛍 Store - Open at 4:00 PM

  • Parents/Guardians may enter to:

    • Make payments

    • Ask questions

    • Purchase items

    • It may close intermittently during class transitions when it becomes a student waiting space.

🧼 Cleaning & Sanitizing Protocols

  • Before each class, all:

    • Dance floors

    • Ballet barres

    • Doorknobs and hard surfaces are sanitized.

  • HVAC system features REME HALO® air scrubber and purifier.

  • All cleaning products used while students are present are:

    • Made from plant extracts

    • Free of synthetic dyes, bleach, and artificial fragrances

  • Approved brands include:

    • Dr. Brite

    • Benefect® Botanical

    • Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant

Policies & Waiver

🛑 Respect & Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
The following will not be tolerated:

  • Slanderous or malicious comments on social media

  • Bullying of any form

  • Sexist or racist remarks toward students, parents, teachers, or staff

📢 Communication

All important notices will be:

  • Emailed to the address on file

  • Posted on our website

👉 Please check the website regularly for updates.

🎭 Revue / Recital Participation

  • Students with excessive absences may have a reduced role in performances. Final participation decisions are made at the teacher’s discretion to ensure fairness to students who regularly attend and actively participate.

📸 Photo & Video Release

The studio reserves the right to take and use videos or photos of students during class for promotional purposes, including social media and marketing materials.

🚨 Illness & Emergencies

If a student becomes ill during class:

  • They will be taken to a designated waiting area

  • A staff member will remain with them

  • A family member will be contacted to pick them up promptly

⚖️ Liability Waiver

By enrolling, attending classes, or entering the studio, making payments, you agree to the following waiver:

"As a participant or parent/guardian of a participant in The Arts of the Dance Centre programs, I acknowledge and accept that dance and related activities involve inherent risks of physical injury. I assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, death, or loss that may occur during participation in any activities associated with The Arts of the Dance Centre.

I hereby waive and release all claims against Rucsandra’s Dance Studio, LLC T/A The Arts of the Dance Centre, its faculty, and staff resulting from such participation.

In the event of an accident or illness, I authorize the staff to provide temporary first aid and, if necessary, emergency medical care by ambulance or hospital personnel.

I acknowledge the contagious nature of infectious diseases and voluntarily assume the risk of exposure. I accept that participation may result in illness, personal injury, permanent disability, or death.

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, release and hold harmless Rucsandra’s Dance Studio, LLC T/A The Arts of the Dance Centre, their officers, employees, agents, event sponsors, advertisers, and venue owners, from any and all claims related to illness, disability, death, or property loss—whether arising from their negligence or otherwise—to the fullest extent permitted by law."
