GENERL RULES & PROTOCOLS

 

Attending classes Dance Season 2023/2024

  • Students have completed the pre-registration form & received the email confirming their class schedule.

  • Have paid the Registration Fee, Tuition as well as all outstanding balances.

  • Upon entering the building, all staff and students will be asked to use sanitizer.

  • Dancers must carry a bag for all their belongings: water bottles, dance shoes, phones, and personal items.

  • Students will arrive wearing street shoes. Students should never wear their dance shoes outside the studio.

  • Our youngest dancers in Pre-School Dance and Primary Dance A-D will be escorted to the bathroom by a staff member. Still, the students will need to be able to use the bathroom on their own. Assisting with adjusting their dance attire will be the only close contact between the dancer and the staff member.

  • The locker room and homework room will be used as waiting areas for students attending multiple classes and for families with multiple enrolled siblings.

 

LOBBY AREA

  • The lobby remains closed to Parents/Guardians, Siblings, and Observers. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

  • Parents/guardians may occasionally enter to observe classes from the lobby area. Please do not remain in the lobby during the change of classes.

 

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

To ensure a seamless transition, we ask all parents/guardians to arrive 5-10 minutes before the class's scheduled start & end time. For the safety of our dancers, please drive slowly in and out of the parking lot. 

  • Drop-off: Students will use the main entrance.

  • Pick-up: Upon arrival, please wait in or outside your parked car. At the end of the class, teachers will lead the students to exit through the emergency door on the left side of the building.

 

STORE AREA

  • Parents/Guardians may enter to make inquiries, payments, or purchases.

  • The store opens at 4:00 PM and may close intermittently during class changes to serve as a waiting area for students.

 

Cleaning/Sanitizing Protocols, Products, and Systems 

  • All dance floors, ballet barres, doorknobs, and other hard surfaces are sanitized before classes begin.

  • The air conditioning and heating system and air duct units are equipped with a REME HALO® in-duct air scrubber and purifier.

  • All hand sanitizer and soap dispensers are automatic, touch-free units.

  • All cleaning/sanitizing products used while students are in the building are made from plant extracts. There are no synthetic fragrances, dyes, or bleach.

  • Dr. Brite, Benefect® Botanical & Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant are our choice of products.

POLICIES

  • Slanderous, malicious comments on social media sites, bullying of any form, and sexist and racist remarks against students, parents, teachers, or office staff, will not be tolerated.

  • Important notices will be emailed and posted on the website. Please check the website frequently for updates.

  • Revue/Recital: The students with excessive absences may have a diminished role in performances, and their participation in the shows will be at the teacher’s discretion. This is in consideration of those students who put forth the effort to come to class and continue learning progressively.

  • If you have any concerns or problems regarding your child, please inform Miss Rose. She will then notify the teacher or others concerned, and they will contact you as soon as possible. Emails can be sent to theartsofthedancecentre@gmail.com.

    Video and Photograph release: The Arts of the Dance Centre reserves the right to take and use videos and photos during class time to be used for advertising and media publications.

    Emergencies situations: If a student feels sick during class, a staff member will stay with the dancer in a designated area until a family member arrives to pick them up.

  • LIABILITY WAIVER:  Whether as a participant or as a parent/guardian of a participant, by requesting enrollment, attending classes, events, or visiting the studio, you acknowledge that you are under the terms of the Liability Waiver below.

    "As a participant or parent/guardian of a participant in The Arts of the Dance Centre programs, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury. I agree to assume the entire risk of any injuries, including damages, death, or loss, which may be sustained as a result of participation in any activities connected with The Arts of the Dance Centre. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims against Rucsandra's Dance Studio, LLC T/A The Arts of the Dance Centre and its faculty members from any claims resulting from participation in the program. In case of accidents or sickness, I consent to temporary first aid for myself or my child to be rendered by staff and emergency medical care provided by ambulance or hospital personnel. I acknowledge the contagious nature of infectious diseases and viruses. I voluntarily assume the risks that by attending and participating, my children and I may be exposed to viruses or may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

    I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, with this RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Rucsandra's Dance Studio, LLC T/A The Arts of the Dance Centre their officers, officials, agents, and employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event, WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.”
